School is sweeter than ever when you add every kid's favorite subject: ice cream! Dreyer’s Scoops for Schools presented by Thornton’s Ice Cream is a cross-curriculum learning program featuring fun and informative facts about ice cream. The program includes exercises in each of the basic subjects (math, geography, social science, language arts and history) with a cool ice cream twist. Learning has never been more fun!

In addition to these fun lessons, a 12-minute video, "From Moo to You," takes students on a behind-the-scenes tour of Dreyer's Ice Cream plant to learn how ice cream is made from the cow to the cone. It's topped off with a special appearance by the man with the coolest job in town – John Harrison, Dreyer's "Official Ice Cream Taster."

The "Scoops for Schools" field trip is available to all groups promoting education.   We offer educators a packet with educational material for all ages.

For larger organizations with more than 20 children our program can be brought to your location.  Please see brochure for more information.
